The Rockwall Lady Jackets’ season came to a close with a 42-47 overtime loss to Skyline in the Regional Quarterfinals. It’s been a good week for both the Rockwall Yellowjackets boy’s and girl’s basketball teams.Leading the way was Jordan Mathis with 18 points.

Though the season ended earlier than they would have liked, the Lady Jackets finished their season with an impressive 28-9 record on their way to earning the titles of District and Area Champions.

After the boy’s team earned Bi-District champion honors, defeating the Lufkin Panthers in the first round of the playoffs, they battled South Garland in the Area playoffs. The hard-faught contest ended in a 64-56 loss. In the loss Jacob Clark and Samuell Williamson each had 21 points.

We also want to give a special shout out to our hard working seniors that we will miss. Connor Cowan, Dallas Whitaker, Andrew Taylor, and Justus Brown.
