The Stinger Staff recently sat down with varsity volleyball player Josie Miller, who just finished her sophomore season, to talk about her future volleyball career. Miller has been offered a scholarship to play sand volleyball at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
The NCAA began counting sand volleyball as a championship sport in 2015, TCU’s inaugural season. While the Rockwall volleyball players have been known to send players to compete in the collegiate ranks in the past, Josie is just the second to play sand volleyball for an NCAA program. Bailey Smith plays for Louisiana-Monroe, though Miller will be the first to play for a Big 12 program.
