Varsity Volleyball Spikes Out Belton

The varsity volleyball Lady Jackets traveled to Italy, Texas for the first round of the 6A State Tournament Nov. 2 and defeated Belton High School in three straight sets. The Lady Jackets started game one slow, but kicked up the heat and never looked back.

Hannah Adams, senior,  Emily Chapin, junior, and Michaela Windahl, senior, dominated the match from the service line, rounding out 33 of the team’s 46 service points.

Juniors Kimberly Iwunze and Bayleigh Scott controlled the match offensively, and teamed up for twelve and ten kills.

Thank you for the students, parents, and administrators that attended the tournament game. It was their effort in the stands that helped rally the Lady Jackets’ to an awesome win.

The second round of the state tournament will take place at Allen High School on Nov. 5 at 7:00 PM. The varsity volleyball team will be taking on Highland Park, so come early, be loud, and help the Lady Jackets defeat the HP Scots.
